Member Bio's

Joseph Brogan                                                        Tenor, Soprano & Alto Saxes, Flute, Clarinet, Vocals    

Joe holds a Bachelor of Music, Berklee College of Music, Masters in Education, Boston State, and a Masters in Educational Administration, Boston State. He is the past Director of Fine Arts, Dedham Public Schools, and has taught in the Southbridge, Ipswich, and  Dedham Public Schools. Joe is the past Director of the Babson & Olin College Jazz Ensembles. He has numerous solo and recording experiences in classical, jazz,  R&B music, including recent recordings for Disney,  DreamWorks Animations, Orleans, & Grand Funk Railroad. In the past, Joe has been the director of the College All Star Jazz Ensemble and the Director of the MDC All Star Band. Joe has directed and produced over 25 musicals. He currently leads the Joe Brogan Jazz Trio and the Downtown Boston Brass Quartet. He is a member of the Mass. Music Educators Assoc., Music Educators National Conference, New England Scholastic Band Association, United States Scholastic Band Association., Mass Judges Association.

 

Jamie Saltman         Jazz Pianist Jamie  lives and teaches in South Brookline, MA. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Music in music education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master of Music in wind conducting from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. He has made conducting appearances with the UMASS Amherst Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, as well as the Jr. & Sr. Mass. Youth Wind Ensembles, Repertory Winds and graduate wind ensembles of the New E ngland Conservatory Jamie and his wife, Ellen, operate Camp Encore/Coda, a summer music camp for young musicians  in Sweden, Maine. Jamie is a member of the Mass Music Educators Assoc.      

Raleigh Green       Acoustic and Electric guitar  Raleigh Green is an award-winning musician, educator, author and   visual artist. He is the author of "The Guitar Style Resource" (Alfred) and "Guitar Atlas Jamaica" (Alfred). Raleigh graduated from Berklee College of Music, where he was the recipient of the B.E.S.T. Scholarship, the Professional Music Award, and the Quincy Jones Award. A versatile musician, Raleigh teaches at Phillips Andover  Academy and performs regularly as a guitarist in numerous bands.
